College of Medicine Group Organizes Spontaneous Muster In Virginia

Howdy, Ags!

Last Friday, several of us from the College of Medicine found ourselves in Charlottesville, Virginia, for the 2017 American Association of Medical Colleges Southern Group of Education Affairs Conference at the University of Virginia.

While this was a great conference, it also took us away from Musters back home and the nearest Muster was 75 minutes away in Richmond. the solution ... hold our own Muster.

Dr. Patti Watson '78 came up with the idea, and we went from thought to execution in about 6 hours (it helps when you've been Muster chair a few times and have all the files on your lap top). We took over a room where we had been presenting a session and held an impromptu Muster, which recognized two students and a faculty member who had passed way in the last year (along with a personal friend of mine). The result was a truly special Aggie moment.
