James Frank Kucera, age 89, passed away on April 4, 2017. He was born on August 28,1927 to Jim & Winifred Kucera in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1945 and from Texas Western College in 1952. He has been married to his wife for 63 years on April 25, 1953.

James F. Kucera was employed by Citgo Refinery. Jim was a loving father, son, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed participation in hunting, fishing, umpire/referee and all sports, including poker.

He will always be remembered for his kindness and love of his beautiful wife of 63 years, Jerry, along with his devotion to his family. We would also like to thank the loving staff at Mirador.

Jim is preceded in death by Jim and Winifred Kucera. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Kucera; daughter, Joy Lynn Coplon; sons, Scotty and Jay Kucera; daughters in-law, Liz and Glenys Kucera; son in-law, Mahlon Coplon; grandchildren, Kimberly Hood (Ben), Katie Bielski (Greg), Jason Kucera (Carla), Allyson Kucera, Paige Prochera, Taylor Prochera, Aubrey Coplon, and Ryan Coplon; great grandchildren, Caleb Kucera, Luke Kucera, and Brooke Bielski.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to be at a later date. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to Sokol Hall. To share words of comfort with the family please visit: www.seasidefuneral.com
