Jeanne Marie Brosnan
August 14, 1958 - March 18, 2014

Jeanne Brosnan was the Executive Vice President of CHAI Planning and Human Resource Management at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), where she oversaw strategic development and human resources management for the entire organization. Previously, she served as CHAI's Executive Vice President of Country Operations, overseeing country operations in all regions of the world. CHAI country teams vary in size depending on the strategic priorities of each country and government, and are primarily focused on programs that help countries increase their human resource capacity, prevent the transmission of HIV from a mother to her child, and bring care and treatment to the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, including children and people living in rural areas.

Prior to joining CHAI, Ms. Brosnan spent 24 years working in the Clinical Diagnostics and Life Sciences fields with the Biosciences Unit of Becton Dickinson (BD). During her tenure there she held leadership positions in R&D, Program Management, Marketing, Global Health and General Management. From 2006 to 2007, Ms. Brosnan was responsible for the general management of the Life Sciences Research Reagents business where she developed broad new business and product line strategies to reinvigorate growth in a business being impacted by low cost competition in core commodity product lines. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of the Global HIV Initiatives where she helped to found BD's Global Health Initiative team and liaised closely with global health organizations as to how BD could partner with such groups to bring more effective health care to the developing world. Ms. Brosnan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Masters of Science in Bioengineering.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Gerald Griffith, son Christopher Brosnan of Palo Alto, step daughters Marnie of Seattle, WA and Marla of Dubai, UAE, mother Ruth Rothe of Brevard NC, sister Judy Rothe of Brevard NC and brother Gary Rothe of Houston, TX.
