Resided in New Braunfels, TX

Chris Bernard Dausin, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 47. Chris was born on December 18, 1969 in San Antonio to Edward and Geraldine Persyn Dausin. Chris was a proud member of the Texas A&M University family from 1988-1993 having received an athletic scholarship to play football for the Aggies. So beloved was he by his teammates that he received the "Aggie Heart Award" in 1993 given to recipients by their athletic peers. He was loved and cherished by his family as well as his extended 'Aggie family'. His love was felt by the many who enjoyed his delicious bbq, and his great, big, bear hugs. His larger than life presence was evident in the countless hours he spent volunteering with Boysville of Texas and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Max Dausin and his brother Dwayne Edward Dausin. Survivors include mother Gerladine Persyn Dausin, Denise Dausin, Ronald Dausin, Beverly Dausin, Bryan Dausin, Steven Dausin, Randall Dausin, their spouses, multiple nieces, nephews cousins and kin. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Thursday, April 6th 10am at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New Braunfels, followed by a memorial celebration of Chris' life at Freiheit's in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Boysville of Texas at www.boysvilletexas.org
