Student Research Week was a four-day celebration of student research, coordinated by the Graduate and Professional Student Council and made possible thanks to donors to The Association of Former Students.
SRW provides a venue for students to present their work through oral presentations or posters. The event allows students, faculty, and the community to see the depth and breadth of research conducted at Texas A&M and is a valuable tool in meeting the university’s mission of academic, research, and service excellence.
The mission of SRW is to recognize and celebrate student research at Texas A&M University by providing an opportunity for students to present research and to foster an environment for students, faculty, staff and administration to learn about the research occurring at Texas A&M University. The theme for 2017 was inclusivity, and the SRW committee set a goal of representing all of the academic colleges. In 2017, celebrated its 20-year anniversary by adding several new special awards.
SRW is one of the primary events held by the Graduate and Professional Student Council in conjunction with the Office of Graduate Studies, Vice President for Research, Department of Student Life, and Undergraduate Programs & Academic Services, academic colleges, administrators, faculty, and staff. SRW is planned and organized by students. Read more at today.tamu.edu.
