Survivors from this marriage include his son-in-law, Robert Reynolds, grandson, Dr. Marty Reynolds of Kerrville, great-grandchildren, Jason Reynolds, Scott Reynolds, and Lindsay Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor and Paul Edge and one brother survives, Clarence Edge.

He married his second wife, Golda Weatherford Edge on December 18, 1969 and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1999. He is survived by a stepson, R. L. Weatherford (Maxine) of Kyle, Texas, stepdaughter, Betty Sue Crain Ferguson (Doug) of Sulfur Springs, Texas, grandchildren, Garlon Lee Weatherford (Cathy) of Bastrop, Texas, Sherry Lynn Weatherford of La Porte, Texas.
