Teacher Of The Year

Corinne Wall '09 is the 2017 Secondary School of Science and Technology Teacher of the Year. She currently is a teacher at SST-Discovery and teaches eighth grade math as well as serving as the math department chair and a mentor teacher. Wall earned a BS from Texas A&M at College Station in 2009.

Wall shared this about being a teacher: “I am very passionate about what I do. My reward is watching the potential I see in my students come to fruition. I often hear people speak about our future as if the next generations is going to leave us in a state of uncertainty, and as a teacher, I get a front row seat to tomorrow’s leaders. I get to shape and inspire them. Watching a student come to the realization that there’s something beyond what they thought there were capable of—that there’s a norm outside the failure they’ve experienced in the past—that’s my reward.”
