Alton Dixon '09 wasn't able to buy an Aggie Ring while he was at Texas A&M because of the financial commitment he had to care for his grandfather.
He's now a coach in Lufkin. Yesterday, his team and the Lufkin community surprised him on the football field with his Aggie Ring.
You can watch a video of the surprise at ktre.com.
A little snippet:
"With the dedication he has to the Lufkin Panthers program and being a former Panther and Aggie, we felt like he deserved his Ring for the way he treats the kids and takes care of them. A lot of people don't know what Alton does for this program and for the kids,” said Dixon’s Classmate Austin Thigpen '09.
Well deserved, Alton Dixon! Congratulations!
