Members of the Student Veterans' Association at Texas A&M University traveled to former President George W. Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch outside Waco on Saturday to clear 10 miles of trail for the 5th Annual W100K mountain bike ride for wounded warriors, which will take place April 30 through May 2.
The group worked alongside student veterans from other Texas schools, moving rocks and cutting down trees for a race they will not ride in. According to SVA President Jason Larzelere '16, who is a wounded veteran himself, the opportunity to give back to fellow veterans who carry the scars from war was worth a day's labor.
