200-Year-Old Anchor To Texas A&M

A ship anchor found in Admirality Bay near Seattle will be sent to the Texas A&M Conservation Research Lab on July 21.

Historians believe the relic is at least 200 years old and thought to be from the HMS Chatham. The Chatham was one of the ships that sailed in the Vancouver Expedition from 1791 to 1795, and its ship logs report losing an anchor near the area it was found.
