Texas A&M researchers share in a discovery of a new Earth-like planet that calls into question a theory predicting that planets can not form between two stars.
Texas A&M University astronomer Darren DePoy built the instruments used for some of the measurements and helped set up the worldwide network of telescopes that made the observations, said the finding was significant because it shows that planets form in more
diverse environments than previously thought.
A&M is one of four American institutions involved in the project.
