Inside this issue:

ORANGE AND MAROON: TOGETHER FOR TEXANS: A statewide, grassroots network of alumni and friends of Texas A&M and the University of Texas work to increase support for higher education and the state’s two flagship institutions.

LIVING OUR CORE VALUES: The Association of Former Students announces its 2013 Board of Directors, including David Heath ’76, the 2013 Chair of the Board, and two new Directors joining the 14 other elected Directors who continue to serve.

THE 2012 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI GALA: The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M University celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Distinguished Alumnus Award program and recognized the 2012 Distinguished Alumni, including Texas A&M’s seven Medal of Honor recipients.

FLAG ROOM PIANO BRINGS JOY TO MANY: Much has changed in the renovated Memorial Student Center, but the iconic piano continues to delight and entertain.

BUILDING THE FUTURE: Connecting with Patricia and Charles Wiseman ’57.

'FAILURE GIVES YOU AN OPPORTUNITY': A spine injury forced Chad Waligura ’93 to give up many of the
activities he loved. But he was determined to keep hunting and fishing off that list.

JOHNNY HEISMAN: About 1,000 Aggies gathered in the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center to see Johnny Manziel '15 win the Heisman Memorial Trophy as the nation's most outstanding college football player.

PLUS: Aggie Network News, A&M Notebook, Silver Taps, Parting Shot and more!

Texas Aggie is published six times a year for active members of The Association of Former Students. Are you getting YOUR Texas Aggie magazine? If not, click here to find out how.
