Debbie Panzica ’15 wrote us a thank-you letter for the Transfer Student Scholarship she received.
“These funds are very much appreciated. It has been quite the challenge and adjustment to assume college life at my age (50) while working full time. And there are many days when I question my reasons for wanting to obtain a degree at this stage in my life.
“I never thought I would ever hear myself say that it’s just easier to work because it’s less stress! However, I must remember my own words I used to say to my two adult daughters (Aggies—'07 & '09), ‘If it were easy, everybody would be doing it.’
“So, on days when I am feeling overwhelmed, exhausted by homework or stressed about tests, I remember that I’m not a quitter, that I’m an Aggie who has an incredible support system in her college and an Association of Former Students who once stood in my shoes.
This incredible family and network reminds me every day of my original dream and commitment I must continue to follow.
“Receiving these monies from The Association serves as an excellent reminder that I do not stand alone in my belief to achieve my college degree. And with The Association behind me, this Aggie will not fail.”
