Dallas A&M Club Presents Aggie Football Highlights

Andy Richardson ’87, television/production manager for the Texas A&M Athletic Department, will be the guest speaker for the Dallas A&M Club’s Friday Luncheon on May 23rd. As a part of Richardson’s appearance, he has produced a video that will relive some great moments in A&M Football History plus some short clips of video projects to give us a perspective of what they do for A&M Athletics.

The Steven Spielberg of Aggie Athletics, Richardson begins his twelfth season with the Texas A&M Athletic Department and his seventh as the TV production manager. Richardson's duties include the production of the department’s weekly television show, The Aggie Sports Connection, which airs nationally on Fox Sports Net Southwest.

He oversees the television production aspects of the in-stadium video boards at both Kyle Field and Olsen Field as well as promotion of A&M Athletics with various national media outlets through highlight tapes, satellite feeds, the 12th Man Foundation video program and promotional tapes for the department.

In December 2001, the video production crew took on the content aspects of Aggie Ultimate Access, the athletic department's subscription internet website. Richardson and his staff manage the visual aspects of the information superhighway providing video clips, interviews, press conferences and live streaming of various A&M sports available through AggieAthletics.com.

Richardson also serves as the contact person for various network entities that utilize A&M Athletic Department video in their telecasts. He works closely with the Media Relations Office and the Marketing/Promotions Office to develop video productions to meet their specific needs.

An award-winning journalist in news photography and editing, Richardson’s work has been seen nationally on all the major television networks. He has worked at CBS and PBS network affiliates, been a freelance videographer for Super Bowl XXIX, Super Bowl XXX and Super Bowl XXXI, and spent the summer of 1996 assisting in the video operations for the NFL Europe's Barcelona Dragons.

Richardson is a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Dallas A&M Club’s Friday Luncheons are held at Cassidy’s Sports Bar and Grille, which is located in the Holiday Inn Select Dallas Central at 10650 N. Central Expressway in Dallas - on Hwy 75, just north of Meadow Road. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and features a personalized menu or a full buffet for only $10. Price includes lunch, drink, and tip.
