Sul Ross Group Reunion Takes Place March 8-10
The Association of Former Students will host the annual Sul Ross Group Reunion from March 8-10 in College Station. Named after former Texas Governor and A&M President Lawrence Sullivan Ross, the Sul Ross Group Reunion welcomes Classes that have been graduated from Texas A&M for 55 years or more. Members of the honored Class attending their 55th Anniversary Reunion will be presented "Golden Circle" certificates in recognition of their devoted interest in Texas A&M since their days as students. Aggie Ring Orders and Repairs Available
The Association of Former Students' Aggie Ring Program is currently taking Aggie Ring orders for qualified former students. Rings ordered by March 30 will be delivered on May 11 at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Rings may be ordered in person, by mail or by fax. The Aggie Ring Program can assist you with your Aggie Ring if it needs to be resized or repaired as well. You can either stop by The Association or mail your Ring directly to Balfour. For more information, go to www.AggieNetwork.com/Ring.

Aggies Thank Community With Big Event
Texas A&M University's The Big Event is gearing up for its 25th consecutive year of service to the Bryan-College Station community. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 24, The Big Event has grown to become the largest one-day, student-led service project in the nation. Last year, approximately 9,000 Texas A&M students took part in performing more than 950 jobs in the area, including painting, cleaning, gardening and more. Aggies participate in the annual project to show thanks to the local community for their loyal support throughout the year. Women's Swimming and Diving Team Wins Big 12
The Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team won its first Big 12 title on Feb. 17 at the Student Rec Center Natatorium after a one point, come-from-behind victory over the eight-time defending champion University of Texas. "It's taken us eight long years to get to this point, but boy does it sure feel good," said head coach Steve Bultman. "I can't say enough about the toughness and resiliency of this team." The team will now prepare for the NCAA Championships, scheduled to take place March 8-10 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Run for the Ring Scheduled for March 3
Traditions Council will hold its 6th annual Run for the Ring at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 3 at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. All participants in the 5K run/walk will be entered into a drawing in which four people will win a certificate for a free Aggie Ring. Winners will not receive their Aggie Ring until they are qualified to do so, and those who already have a Ring have a chance to add a diamond or win a Ring for another Aggie. Ross Volunteers March in Mardi Gras Parade
Texas A&M's Ross Volunteer Company led the annual Mardi Gras King Rex Parade on Feb. 20 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It marked the 55th year that the group has marched in the parade, which is the main event parade of Mardi Gras Day. Founded in 1887, the Ross Volunteers are the oldest student organization in Texas and serve as the official honor guard for the governor of the state. For more information on this story, click here.

Cy-Fair College Joins Transfer Partnership Program
Cy-Fair College officially joined Texas A&M University's Transfer Partnership Program on Feb. 12. Cy-Fair is now one of 10 schools in Texas to be a part of the new program that gives community college students greater opportunity to complete college degrees as Aggies. Under the partnership agreement, students at participating colleges who complete 24 hours with at least a 3.0 grade-point average will be guaranteed transfer admission to Texas A&M in a specified degree plan for Texas A&M's Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Education and Human Development, Engineering, Geosciences or Science, or for Texas A&M University at Galveston.
