Aggies Celebrate Muster Worldwide
On April 21 Aggies around the world celebrated one of Texas A&M's oldest and most
revered traditions. Muster is an annual celebration of the Aggie Spirit as well
as a time to honor Aggies who have passed away in the last year. There were more
than 300
ceremonies in all this year, with the largest Muster taking place on the Texas A&M
University campus in Reed Arena. The campus ceremony featured keynote speaker Brooke
Leslie Rollins '94, the first woman to serve as Texas A&M's student body president
and current president of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Rollins' speech was
followed by the traditional "Roll Call for the Absent." For more on this story,

News from Texas A&M University
Aggies, Longhorns Offer Support to Virginia Tech
In the wake of the tragedy that recently took place on the Virginia Tech campus, members of both the Texas A&M
and University of Texas communities have rallied to offer their support. As the two institutions share Virginia Tech's
colors of maroon and orange, students of both schools initiated a T-shirt sale, with proceeds going to the
Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. "After seeing the Virginia Tech colors were orange and maroon, we immediately thought
of how Aggies and Longhorns have suffered tragedies also," said Andria Groover '08, one of the project's organizers.
