We perpetuate the ties of affection to Texas A&M by bringing Aggies together to be a part of something much bigger than themselves.
Muster
More than 300 ceremonies of Muster are held worldwide every year on April 21st. Aggie Muster ceremonies have evolved to reflect the preferences and personalities of the communities and the volunteers that step forward to host them.
From the small county gatherings with barbeque and beer to the larger formal events hosted in hotel ballrooms, the observances have become as diverse as Aggies themselves.
Last year 42 international ceremonies were reported. The largest Aggie Muster is held on campus with approximately 12,000 people in attendance. The Campus Muster is held at Reed Arena starting at 7:00pm preceeded by a Muster Barbeque at noon on the Simpson Drill Field which provides a great opportunity for Students and Former Students to meet and share their stories.
The Association of Former Students preserves and promotes this time-honored tradition. It is an exceptional opportunity for you to build and strengthen your Aggie Network. The Association supports Musters around the world, providing:
- Online resources, including an online planning handbook, to A&M Clubs and other groups
- A list of the deceased
- Promotional support as needed
Please plan to return to this Aggienetwork.com website on April 21 to view a special Roll Call honoring the Aggies we have lost this past year. Also contact The Association of Former Students for any questions not answered here. The Former Student Programs office can be reached at (979) 845-7514, or through Muster@AggieNetwork.com.
