Our 35 Year Class Reunion will be held during the Ole Miss football game weekend Oct​. 23-25, 2015. This is an away-game weekend and we will watch the Aggies BTHO Ole Miss as one of our Reunion activities.  Reunion Venue: Our Reunion will be held at the Brazos County Expo, 5827 Leonard Rd, Bryan, TX 77807, Visit BrazosCountyExpo.com.  We hope to see you there!

Make your reservations by calling the College Station Hilton, Hyatt Place or La Quinta directly before the respective deadline and be sure to mention the appropriate group code. If you prefer to stay at another hotel in the area, please call the Accommodations Hotline at 979-260-9999 to check on hotel availability in the area. You may also go to the Bryan-College Station Accommodations website to book a room. REUNION CHECK IN & REGISTRATION
After securing your room reservation, you can print out and return the Reunion Registration Form by mail to The Association of Former Students, PO Box 10005, College Station, TX 77842, ATTN: Class of '80 Reunion; FAX 979-845-9263; or you can register online. If you have any questions, please contact the Former Student Programs office at The Association of Former Students at 800-633-7514. 

Your nametags, registration gift, and registration packet will be available at the Reunion Check-In Desk at the location and time indicated above. Registrations received after Oct. 14, 2015 will incur a $10 late fee and the deadline to register for the Reunion is October 18, 2015. If your plans change at the last minute you can still join us! Walk up registrations on the day of the event will be accommodated but a late fee of $10 will apply.

FRIDAY TAILGATE
Don’t miss out! Our BBQ team will be cooking up some tailgate favorites for the evening, pulled pork BBQ sliders. Come join us for music, dancing, a photo booth, and a night full of fun led by our icebreaker at 6:00 p.m. Meet someone new and start the first step towards entering the prize drawing for a trip for two to the 2016 Albuquerque Balloon Festival. 

 

SATURDAY TAILGATE
The main event for Saturday is watching the Aggies BTHO Ole Miss and enjoying some good Texas BBQ. If you would like to help us sweeten this deal please bring your favorite desserts to help our tailgate cooking team. Pre-game we will have a short program covering campus updates and a Yell Practice. During halftime we will watch the previous week’s Aggie Band performance. After the game we continue the tailgate with music, dancing, videos, picture slide shows and for those that met someone new we will hold the drawing for the 2016 Albuquerque Balloon Festival trip for two. 

 

GOLF
Five tee times have been reserved for golf on Friday Oct. 23 at the renovated TAMU Campus Course designed by architect Jeff Blume ’89. BUSINESS MEETING
Located at the Hilton Amphitheater on Saturday Oct. 24 we will have a hot breakfast followed by a meeting to cover important Class business. We will discuss the MSC Pillar Campaign, Class Gifts (including recognition of scholarship recipients), hold Class Agent elections, and receive an update from the president’s office.

 

TRANSPORTATION
Friday Oct. 23: transportation is on your on your own.
Saturday Oct. 24: there will be a bus running between the Brazos County Expo Complex, MSC, Hilton, La Quinta, and Hyatt Place 3 hours prior to and after the game. Specific times will be published on the Class website including the information for the hotels shuttles that can transport you as needed.

 

PARKING
Campus: you may park in the visitor lot of the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, Koldus University Center Garage (near the MSC), or the West Campus Garage. For more information please visit transport.tamu.edu.

ATTIRE
Your Reunion is going to be a fun, casual affair. Feel free to dress comfortably ​as it will ​could still be hot in October. Dress for game day is Aggie attire. Be sure to check the weather forecast before making your way to College Station and pack accordingly.​

 

WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS & MUSIC
We are creating a Class video that will be shown during the tailgate. Please share your photos with us from our days in Aggieland. 12TH MAN REDEDICATION CEREMONY
The Class’ original gift, the E. King Gill ’24 statue, will be rededicated on Saturday Oct. 24. Please join us at this special ceremony located at Rudder Fountain and don’t miss out on hearing from two of our Classmates who were connected to E. King Gill. 

 

CLASS OF '80 CAPS FOR SALE
The Class of 1980 will be selling caps and visors at the Reunion Check-In desk for $15. The proceeds of these caps and visors will support the Class Gift fund. Please indicate how many you would like ​at registration so we can accurately order the number of caps and visors.

 

CLASS AGENT ELECTIONS
Class Agents serve as a liaison between their Class and The Association. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved as a former student, stay connected to the university and help lead your Class in supporting A&M. Elections are held in conjunction with your Reunions, so now is your chance! Team consist of two to five members of your Class and serve a five-year term. As a Class Agent you will serve on The Association of Former Students’ Leadership Council, which meets twice a year. The Association of Former Students provides orientation and resources to aid you in this role. Class Agents are responsible for keeping the Class informed through Newsletters, web sites and emails, planning Class events and providing annual fund information to former students. Class Agent elections will be held at your Reunion. If you wish to serve as a Class Agent for your Class, you must contact the Class Programs staff at The Association of Former Students at Class@AggieNetwork.com or 979-845-7514 before the Reunion to get your team on the ballot. All team nominations must be received by the Reunion Registration Deadline. 

 

CENTURY CLUB DONATION
Your participation in the annual fund has a significant impact on the education experience of our students and provides the resources needed to support programs and activities for students and former students. CANCELLATION POLICY
The Association of Former Students has a flexible cancellation policy. If you cannot attend your Reunion or an event for which you have registered, please call the Class Programs office (800) 633-7514 prior to Monday, Oct. 19. Your payment will be refunded with the exception of a handling fee of $20.
