Howdy, Class of '73!

Our Class of ’73 Reunion is quickly approaching. Can you believe that it’s been 40 short years since we walked the stage in G. Rollie White Coliseum! Many of you have attended past Class Reunions, while some have not been able to do so. Whatever the case, we sincerely hope that you are planning to attend this upcoming “milestone” Class Reunion in September. We’re putting together what we hope will be a most enjoyable, memorable and fun-filled weekend for you and your family. Contact all your old buds, guys and gals, Corps and civilian, on campus or off and let’s make this our biggest and best Reunion yet. Please take a minute to look over this Reunion Mailer and become familiar with the events and activities we’re including as part of our Reunion. Friday evening will be very casual and will allow Classmates to mix and mingle and start to get caught up with as we arrive and check in for the weekend. Saturday will be a “work in progress.” Because of TV scheduling, more than likely, we won’t know the kick-off time until the Monday prior to the game. An early or late game time will cause us to adjust our Reunion schedule of events. That said, as soon as the kick-off time is announced, we’ll make the necessary modifications to the Reunion schedule and pass that information to you via e-mail.

Give us a shout if you have any questions or need a clarification about the Reunion. Please register at your earliest convenience, either online or using the enclosed Reunion registration form.

We really hope to have as many of our Classmates and families attending as possible, so let’s get registered. See you in September!

Beat the Class of ’73 Hell outta SMU!

Gig ’em,
Wade, Buck & Bill

Reunion Block Football Tickets

If you did not order tickets in our Reunion block prior to June 7, you may still order tickets online at www.12thmanfoundation.com or by contacting the ticket office at 1-888-99-AGGIE depending on ticket availability. Tell them that you are attending the game in conjunction with the Class of 1973 40 Year Reunion against SMU and they will work with you to get you as close to the block as possible.

The Association of Former Students is pleased to announce a Class block of seats for the SMU football game, during the weekend of your Reunion.  The 12th Man Foundation Ticket Office is handling the ticket requests. The deadline to order guaranteed tickets in the Class Block was June 7, 2013.  After the deadline, tickets will go on sale to the general public and will be available as long as tickets remain.  Reunion block tickets may be be ordered now online through the 12th Man Foundation's website. The tickets are $60 plus $5 per ticket fee.

Tickets requests are set for Flash Seats delivery. Flash Seats replaced e-tickets and is a digital delivery service.  A summary of how it works is explained below:

To enter the game, simply take the credit card you used to purchase the tickets (or your driver’s license if you’ve added it as an alternate ID by logging in at http://aggies.flashseats.com) and go directly to the entrance.  The ticket attendants simply swipe the card and print your seat locators. You do not need to stop at a Will Call window. It’s safe, secure, and fast.

Actual printed tickets will be available by phone (888-99-AGGIE).

Golf Outing

Classmate Dusty Oldham has agreed to “host” the golf outing. If you are interested in participating in the golf outing during your Reunion, please contact him at dusty.oldham@gmail.com or (806) 216-0388. The golf outing will be at Traditions Club. This is a separate event and is NOT included in registration so golfers will need to contact Dusty directly to register and set up tee times.

Attire

Your Reunion is going to be a fun, casual affair. As far as the weather, it could be hot or cold, dry or rainy—remember, it’s September in Aggieland, so it will most likely be pretty hot! So check the Weather Channel before you leave home, pack accordingly, and then still consider bringing the opposite of what they predicted!

Transportation/Maps/Parking

Transportation to all events is on your own. Things may have changed on campus since your last visit.  For parking and/or campus maps visit theTransportation Services website.  Game day parking is available at the West Campus Parking Garage next to the Rec Center.  There is a $20 fee per vehicle to park in the West Campus Parking Garage on gamedays, but arrive early.  Other garage spots and spaces may be available on campus. Be sure to check with Transporation Services for more information.

Transportation Services provides a FREE “Get to the Grid” game-day express shuttle from Post Oak Mall to Kyle Field. Beginning 2-1/2 hours prior to kick-off leaving from the Post Oak Mall-Sears parking lot and running for 1 hour after the game ends from Throckmorton Street on campus.

Class Agents

Class Agents serve as a liaison between their Class and The Association. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved as a former student, stay connected to the university and help lead your Class supporting A&M. Elections are held in conjunction with your Reunions, so now is your chance!

Teams consist of two to five members of your Class and serve a five-year term. As a Class Agent you will serve on The Association of Former Students’ Leadership Council, which meets twice a year. The Association of Former Students provides orientation and resources to aid you in this role. Class Agents are responsible for keeping the Class informed through newsletters, web sites and emails, planning Class events and providing annual fund information to former students.

Class Agent elections will be held after the Reunion, if needed. Your current Class Agents are running again and will be adding Melody (McNeil) Tarrillion '73 to their team, but are open to other teams stepping up to run as well.

For more information go to http://tx.ag/ClassAgent, e-mail Class@AggieNetwork.comor call (800) 633-7514 at least 7 days prior to your Reunion to get your name on the ballot! All nominations must be received by the Reunion Registration Deadline.
