Howdy Class of '82ers!

The time for our 30 Year Reunion is quickly approaching and we hope you’re as excited about the weekend of November 2-4 as the four of us! This Reunion we will have lots of time to talk, dancing to The Debonaires (Yes – The Debonaires - whose music we danced to every Thursday night at the Hall of Fame!!!), touring the MSC, and watching the Aggies BTHO Mississippi State on the huge Huddleston Video Wall inside the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. What a beautiful time of year to be in Aggieland, too! The weather shouldn’t be too hot or too cold, although in Texas, there are no guarantees.

When thinking of our time as students, what are some of your favorite memories? Are the memories indelible, happy, sad, funny, poignant, cherished, or wistful? One thing is for sure - TAMU and Bryan/College Station have all changed significantly in the past 30-plus years. Remember the changes, big and small, between our fish year and our graduation? But then, each of us has changed in big and small ways, too, since 1978-1982.

Whatever the changes, we are part of the tapestry of the Aggie Nation, and things that won’t ever change are our love of all things maroon and white, our Class of ’82 Classmates, our traditions, and our pride in Aggieland. Our Reunion is a wonderful opportunity for you to show your Aggie Spirit and have a blast, too.

See you in November!

Gig ’em,
Kitty, Mike, Odis & Dennis

Attire

Your Reunion is going to be a fun, casual affair.  As far as the weather, it could be hot or cold, dry or rainy—remember, it’s November in Aggieland! So check the Weather Channel before you leave home, pack accordingly, and then still consider bringing the opposite of what they predicted!

Transportation/Maps/Parking

Transportation to all events is on your own. Things may have changed on campus since your last visit. For parking and/or campus maps visit the Transportation Services website. For Saturday, parking will be available at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center.

Class Agents

Class Agents serve as a liaison between their Class and The Association. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved as a former student, stay connected to the University and help lead your Class supporting A&M. Elections are held in conjunction with your Reunions, so now is your chance!  Dennis, Mike and Odis will be running again in hopes of serving the Class of ’82 for another five years. However, Kitty has decided to step down as Class Agent this time around.

Teams consist of three to four members of your Class and serve a five-year term. As a Class Agent, you will serve on The Association of Former Students’ Leadership Council, which meets twice a year. The Association of Former Students provides orientation and resources to aid you in this role. Class Agents are responsible for keeping the Class informed through newsletters, web sites and e-mails, planning Class events and providing annual fund information to former students.
