Class of '67 45 Year Reunion

October 26 - 28, 2012
College Station, TX

*Your reunion is on an away game weekend. Class Agents are responsible for selecting Reunion dates on behalf of their respective Classes.  Since 2009, several Classes have held successful Reunions on away game weekends.  Away game Reunions are nice because you won’t be dealing with problems like parking, traffic, exorbitant hotel costs, expensive football tickets or bad seats in bad weather.  A typical couple usually pays around $1,000 to attend a Reunion on a home football game when you factor in all the costs. Reunion feedback shows that participants want more “face” time in a quieter, relaxed atmosphere. This is why your Class Agents elected to choose this date for your Reunion in the fall.  The renovated Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center has a 49 panel video wall that offers a great opportunity to watch the game.  The big advantage to this approach is that the cost is cut in half with the opportunity to maximize the face time with your Classmates, and you get 50 yard line seats for the football game.  Hotel room rates are reasonable on away games and in the event you don’t get your reservation in for the Reunion in time, you aren’t staying in Caldwell.    You also have a more relaxed chance to see the campus without all the craziness of a home football game.

Howdy Classmates!!

Hard to believe that it has been 45 years ago that we completed our four years and some of us graduated, got commissioned, and headed off to do our part in the military and to other endeavors.  The rest of us stayed around to graduate with the remainder of our Class.

There has been a lot of water under our bridges since then. We have lost some of our buddies along the way and they have been remembered at Silver Taps. We have been blessed with some truly remarkable and successful Classmates who have brought great credit to the Class of ’67.   We now have children that have graduated from A&M and some of us even grandchildren.

Most of us have kept in touch with our own group of Classmates, but by attending Reunions we are able to catch up with those we normally don’t see.    Now is the chance for us all to gather for the 45 Year Class Reunion for the greatest A&M Class, the Class of '67.

Won’t you please do all you can to attend our gathering the last weekend in October, this Fall. We are having it on an away game so we can have the run of the campus, plenty of time to visit and cut everyone’s cost of attending in half. It is also a significant Reunion because it is the last formal Reunion held in conjunction with a football game. In April of 2017, during our 50th Anniversary Reunion, we will be the honored Class at the campus Muster Ceremony and in 2022 we as a Class will be inducted into the Sul Ross Group.

Don’t make any excuses.   Get off your Class of ’67 butt and clear that weekend and head back to where it all began in 1963. Come and be part of the celebration.   We look forward to seeing a record turnout.

Gig Em,
Mickey and Terrell
