This enchanting, coast-to-coast voyage focuses on Mexico, but ingeniously sprinkles in other superb destinations for flair. It's all made possible by a transit of the Panama Canal, a marvel of engineering that was first envisioned by the Spanish in the early 1500s, but not completed until more than 400 years later by the United States. History buffs will delight in a walking tour of colonial Cartagena, followed by a shopping spree in the lovely Bocagrande district. Free spirits will be captivated by Key West's exuberance for life. Still, Mexico is the star during much of this cruise, as Regatta skirts along the country's radiant western shore. The resort city of Huatulco revolves around the water, offering fabulous snorkeling. In contrast, Acapulco exudes a cosmopolitan energy.
