Full-Time Positions


Web Developer

The Association’s web team is looking for a creative and experienced developer to join our team. Responsibilities primarily include working with the webmaster and departments within The Association to conceptualize, design, and develop web-based tools and applications for AggieNetwork.com. The web developer will work with a variety of content providers and departments and will program using ASP .NET, Visual Basic .NET, SQL, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, HTML and other common web development tools.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and demonstrate proven skills in the following areas: ASP.NET 1.1 or 2.0, Visual Basic.NET 2003/2005, SQL Server 2000/2005, Web Services, T/SQL, JavaScript, and Advanced HTML design. Photoshop experience and streaming video/audio experience with Macromedia Flash is helpful.

 Part-Time/Student Positions

Graphics Student Assistant

The Association is looking for a creative, team-oriented student assistant to help our graphics team. The selected student will need to have availability to work 10-20 hours per week. Schedule can be comprised of 3 hour minimum shifts any combination of days M-F, 8am – 5pm.

Solid graphics skills including experience with Adobe design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat) are necessary for this position. Must have some graphic design experience, either from previous job experience or academic courses. Must have solid customer service skills and be deadline-oriented.

 Mailroom Student Assistant

Duties:
Picks-up mail and delivers bulk mail to Post Office; sorts, delivers, and picks-up mail from departments; prepares and ships packages; operates postage machine; operates other equipment when needed and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Good driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Hours:
9:00 AM-12:00 Noon; 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM Primary time 3:00 PM-5:00 PM

Information Technology Student Assistant

Duties:
The Association of Former Students is seeking a student to assist our existing team providing hardware and software support for the organization. The position helps cover basic helpdesk duties as well as increasing levels (as appropriate) of network and server support/installation. Programming ability would be a plus, but is not required.
Note: We are only seeking individuals able to start working and continue working in the fall and beyond.

Requirements:
Experience with PC (Windows 2000 and XP) and/or network troubleshooting. Good customer service and “team player” attitude. Preference given for experience with any of the following: network/security theory, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, Exchange/Outlook, any Adobe product, Active Directory, Oracle, mySQL, Windows Server OSes, SuSE Linux. Programming skills also a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Hours:
Monday through Friday; 20 hours per week; hours of work are flexible.
