Phillip Edward Nelson, 65, of Houston passed away February 1, 2011 surrounded by his family. Phillip was born on March 27, 1946 in Pasadena, Texas to William Bryan Nelson and Myrtle Shireman Nelson. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and is survived
by his loving wife Audrey, his son Mark and his brother-in-law Roger Hayes.
Phillip is a native Houstonian. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 1968 where he obtained a Masters of Architecture. He spent his career as an architect and served as Vice President of Thompson, Nelson Group. Phillip was an avid reader and
crossword puzzle expert with an extraordinary memory. He enjoyed shooting skeet, hunting and visiting his family ranch in south Texas. Phillip loved spending time with his family, especially watching his son Mark play lacrosse.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 10688 Shadow Wood Drive, Houston, TX 77043 followed by a reception at the church. Interment services will follow the reception at Southpark Cemetery,
