Pankonien
Mr. Lee Roy Pankonien, 86, of Brenham, and former resident of Houston, died Feb. 5, 2011.
Lee Roy was born Jan. 14, 1925 to Fede W. and Lillian (Felscher) Pankonien. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham. Lee Roy was married on June 12, 1948 to Lorrayne Williams. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M and his J D from Baylor University. He was a retired attorney for Tenneco Inc. Lee Roy was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brenham and State Bar of Texas.
Graveside services are today at 2 p.m. in Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham with Pastor Terry Doughtery officiating.
He was survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Kyle and Laura Pankonien of Austin, and Dean and Bronwyn of Coppell, Texas; daughters and sons in law: Julie and Rusty Brignon of Midland, and Lauralee and Mark Schneider of Austin; sister Dorothea Durdin of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren: Nate Brignon, Andy Brignon, Blake Pankonien, Leigh Pankonien, Ailie Pankonien, John Pankonien and Michael Pankonien; and great-grandson; Benjamin Townes Brignon. Preceded in death by his parents, and wife Lorrayne Pankonien.
Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Pankonien, Dean Pankonien, Nate Brignon, Andy Brignon, John Pankonien, Michael Pankonien, Walter Brignon and Mark Schneider.
Memorials may be given to Brazos Valley Hospice.
