Samuel C. Terry
Samuel C. Terry quietly passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning, in Houston, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Seguin in 1924, he is survived by his brother T.H. Terry, his sister Lanetta Culberson, his son Sam Jr., daughter-in-law
Claire, grandchildren Ryan Terry and Lindsey Bird, and great-grandsons Henry and Elliott. He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife of over 50 years, Frances, and his sister Maydell. Sam spent his early years in Seguin where he met and married Frances
and found the other great love of his life - golf. He attended Texas A&M, then served in the Air Force in WW II, after which he completed his education at University of Texas, graduating with a degree in geology. Most of his career was spent as a landman at
Union Oil of California, first in Louisiana, then in Midland which was his home from 1962 until 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Midland. Arrangements are under the direction
