COLLEGE STATION, TX. –The Association of Former Students recently signed an exclusive corporate partnership agreement with
Traditions Club, a Bryan, Texas golf course residential community. Traditions Club becomes an official corporate partner of The Association, joining The Association’s efforts to provide support to Texas A&M’s student programs, scholarships, and traditions.
Traditions Club will be a sponsor of a number of The Association’s events and programming efforts, including Reunions, Game Day events at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, and other activities. The Association will provide a platform for the Aggie Network to learn about exciting new developments within the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and community.
Traditions Club is owned and operated by Aggies, including Peter Currie '85, Mike Rupe '93, David Segers '86 and Spencer Clements ’86. Commenting on the new agreement, Clements said, "First and foremost, let me say how thrilled we are to align ourselves with The Association of Former Students! Traditions Club and Community is designed for Aggies and for those who embrace the Aggie Spirit. Advancing from its initial opening as home to the Texas A&M Men's and Women's Golf Teams, Traditions is now a robust and thriving residential and business community. Becoming a Corporate Partner of The Association of Former Students helps to further solidify Traditions as the social center for Aggies, and supports The Association’s mission.”
Porter S. Garner III ’79, President and CEO of The Association of Former Students, welcomed the addition of Traditions Club as one of The Association’s Corporate Partners.
“We are indeed delighted to have Traditions Club as a Corporate Partner of The Association,” Garner noted. “This outstanding Aggie-owned, Aggie-led, and Aggie-staffed real estate development is not only the home to our national champion and nationally ranked Men’s and Women’s golf teams, but a special place that growing numbers of the Aggie Network will be proud to call their home.”
