Gregory Nelson Strahan(1964 - 2012)
Gregory Nelson Strahan, 47, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment: Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Chireno, near Nacogdoches. Visitation: The family will receive friends
beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole, with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the American Tinnitus Association.
Gregory was born Nov. 17, 1964, in Houston, where he graduated from North Shore High School. He went on to graduate from Texas A&M with a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and was employed by Lockheed Martin for over 24 years. Gregory was a member
of St. Patrick Cathedral and the Knights of Columbus. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He previously served as an assistant for his son's Cub Scout troop. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother and was
always willing to lend a hand to help anyone.
Survivors: Wife of nearly 15 years, Heather; children, Heath Gregory Strahan and Helena Ruth Strahan; parents, Nelson and Frances Strahan of Houston; sister, Denise and her husband, Kent, of Arlington; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
