Ol' Army Cycling Club Needs You
For the past 20 years, the Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has organized bike tours in Texas to help raise funds to combat the devastating effects of MS. The three, two-day tours cover a distance of roughly 150 miles and last year alone raised in excess of $12 million while involving more than 12,000 cyclists. In 2005, the Ol' Army Cycling Club is planning to participate in the largest of the three tours, the Houston-to-Austin ride, with the goal of recruiting 200 team members and raising $100,000. If you are interested in displaying your Aggie pride and helping the Farmers Fight MS, contact Matt Demel '90 at 832-693-3044 or matthew.demel@lmco.com, Amy Sharp '02 at 979-218-2126 or amysharp@earthlink.net, or Billy S. Cox Jr. '05 at 979-595-1233 or billycox05@olarmycycling.com. To learn more about the overall event, visit www.ms150.org.

Aggies Featured in Road & Track Magazine
A team of Aggie engineering students who designed, built and drove a formula-style race car that placed second in the 2004 Formula SAE competition in Pontiac, Mich., are featured in the November issue of Road & Track magazine, which is currently on newsstands. The Aggies earned their feature spot by winning a separate acceleration, braking and agility competition sponsored by the magazine. The annual four-day Formula SAE competition is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International. Teams earn points on the basis of the car's performance in tests of acceleration, skid pad traction, autocross, acceleration, endurance and economy of operation. This year's event drew teams from 128 universities in the United States and 12 foreign countries.
