All-Aggie Reunion Brings Aggie Spirit
to San Antonio
The very first All-Aggie Reunion drew Aggies of all ages to San Antonio over
the Father's Day weekend with its unique blend of Aggie fellowship and family
fun. Participants enjoyed some of the city's favorite destinations, including
activities on the Riverwalk and a special "behind the scenes" visit with
former students working at SeaWorld. In addition, guests attended special
Aggie-themed events in the evenings such as a barbecue and dance with Jim Byrom
'97, a "Northgate Night" with country music and dominoes and a Father's Day
brunch. To see photos from the inaugural All-Aggie Reunion, go to

A&M Students Launch Experimental
Satellite
Texas A&M's AggieSat Lab Student Satellite Program recently entered, and
performed admirably, in a national competition showcasing their own working
satellite. The team of students successfully designed, built and launched a
satellite 17 miles above the Earth while competing in a U.S. Air Force Research
Lab exhibition in Boulder, Colorado, on June 17. The project was developed over
several months by 80 students from 18 different majors, with three of the
students making the trip to Boulder for the competition. During its three-hour
flight, the device, called AggieSat 1, performed experiments concerning energy,
