Stepan Ring Donated to Memorial Ring Collection
On July 10, family and friends of the late Diana S. Stepan '94 of Hempstead gathered in a private ceremony at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center to donate her Aggie Ring to The Association of Former Students' Memorial Ring Collection. Stepan, a petroleum engineering major at Texas A&M University, was killed in an automobile accident in 1995 a few months prior to receiving her degree. Her mother, Sue, and sister, Patricia '98, were among the many family, friends and faculty who attended the ceremony, which represented the Class of 1994. For the complete story, go to http://www.tamu.edu/univrel/aggiedaily/news/stories/04/071604-6.html .

On Nov. 18, 1999, Bonfire collapsed, claiming the lives of 12 Aggies and injuring more than two dozen others. A memorial is currently under construction on the site of Bonfire 1999 to remember and honor the Bonfire tradition, the Aggie Spirit and the Aggies who lost their lives or were injured in the tragedy. On Thurs., Nov. 18, 2004, at 2:30 p.m., the Bonfire Memorial will be dedicated to mark the fifth anniversary of the collapse. Please help plan this important ceremony by filing out the Bonfire Memorial survey at http://www.aggienetwork.com/surveys/bonfire_survey.aspx.

Student Group Offers Ticketmart to Aggie Football Fans
Former students and Aggie football fans who find themselves in need of tickets--or with some to spare--for home games in 2004 now have an on-campus solution, courtesy of one enterprising student organization. The Texas A&M chapter of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) is launching Ticketmart, a brokerage system that will be available in the MSC Flag Room for all home football games three hours before kick-off for anyone needing to buy or sell tickets. Tickets to be sold can be dropped off on game day at the Ticketmart booth or mailed to Alpha Phi Omega at least seven days before the date of the game. The owner of the tickets can choose to be reimbursed for the sale of the tickets or to donate the funds to APO. For more information, visit http://apo.tamu.edu.
