The Association of Former Students Provides $200,000 for TAMU Galveston Relocation
To assist Texas A&M University with unforeseen financial needs related to the relocation of more than 1,500 Sea Aggies to College Station, The Association of Former Students has provided Texas A&M with an additional $200,000 in funding for 2008. These funds, combined with the $3.5 million previously pledged and provided, bring The Association's total cash contribution to Texas A&M to $3.7 million for 2008.

The Association's role in raising the unrestricted Annual Fund on behalf of Texas A&M University and the loyal and generous support of former students and friends of Texas A&M allowed the organiziation to respond quickly and positively to the University's needs during this unprecedented event.  If you would like to join us in supporting Texas A&M University at Galveston, along with the many academic programs, traditions, and student activities at Texas A&M supported by the Annual Fund, please visit https://www.aggienetwork.com/Donate/default.aspx or call 979-845-7514.

Texas A&M University at Galveston
Aggieland welcomed our Sea Aggies to College Station for the fall semester Wednesday, September 24.  Students will complete their fall semester in College Station and return to Galveston for the spring semester.

As a part of this plan, Dr. Elsa Murano, President of Texas A&M University, has asked students, faculty, staff, and former students in the Bryan/College Station for help in housing up to 1,500 Galveston Aggies for at least one month and perhaps the remainder of the semester.  Aggies willing to provide a room or vacant rental property at no cost are asked to email
galvhousing@vpfn.tamu.edu or call 979-862-7777.
