Aggie fans looking to connect with friends or experience something new and different during home football game weekends are invited to stop by the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center for a taste of Aggie hospitality and interactive history and to view the live feed from Kyle Field before, during and after the game on The Association’s 49-panel video wall, Aggie Network TV.

With enhancements completed in 2009 and the temporary closure of the MSC, The Association of Former Students expects increased activity and excitement around the Williams Alumni Center during home game weekends and especially Oct. 30-31 during the rededication of the facility. A team of staff members led by Association Vice President Marty Holmes ’87 has created a family-friendly game day experience just across the street from Kyle Field.
“Once Aggies stop in to see us, we believe they’ll make our facility, exhibits and activities a regular stop on their game day itinerary,” Holmes said. “We invite everyone—whether you’re dropping in to meet up with a buddy, or planning to stay through the game—to stop by and see us this fall.”
Beginning Friday, Sept. 4, and continuing throughout the season, The Association will extend its hours of operation each Friday until 6 p.m., as the Singing Cadets conduct an open rehearsal each week in Flores Hall beginning at 5 p.m. Guests may choose to grab a seat and watch the performance, or simply enjoy the inspirational background music provided by the famed group as they peruse the newly installed historical and interactive exhibits on the center’s mezzanine. (Please see the sidebar for more information on exhibits.)
Each game day Saturday, the Alumni Center will open no later than 9 a.m. and will remain open through the game and one hour after the conclusion of the game. Aggies and fans of the visiting team can view the recently completed and installed 12-foot bronze replica of the Aggie Ring in the Haynes Ring Plaza or escape the heat and watch other games in progress on drop-down screens throughout the facility. Association staff will be on hand to assist with Annual Fund donations, decal requests, Ring orders and repairs, or any other Association business. In addition, the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will operate their Ticketmart, which allows fans to buy and sell tickets, out of the Alumni Center on game days.
Approximately four hours prior to kickoff, reasonably priced food and beverages will be available for purchase. Aggies can view pregame activities, as well as the postgame press conference on Aggie Network TV. During the game, Aggie Network TV will feature the football game via a live feed from Kyle Field or network television for those without tickets or those wishing to escape the heat. Food and beverage sales will continue through the third quarter of the game.
In addition to the public activities in the facility, The Association will also welcome several Reunion events on game days, including the Classes of ’53, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89, ’94 and ’04 and the Black Former Students Reunion and Travel Reunion. Please visit the Reunions Page for a schedule of these reunions and to register online (when available). |

Exhibits Capture The Aggie Spirit Exhibit Photos
Around and throughout the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center are several new exhibits designed to showcase the Aggie Spirit and tell the story of Texas A&M and Texas Aggies.
Aggies Are We Located in the Flores Hall, this tall, cylindrical tower features statements, photos and quotes reflecting on the Aggie Spirit.
Spirit Located on the second-floor mezzanine, this interactive video exhibit places visitors at an Aggie event. Currently, one can lead a yell in front of a large “green screen,” then view a video which displays their image, leading a yell at Midnight Yell Practice.
Legacy Weaving its way across the mezzanine, Legacy displays Aggie Rings dating back to 1891 intertwined with historical events important to Texas A&M and Texas Aggies.
Traditions Located on the second-floor mezzanine, the Traditions exhibit allows visitors to immerse themselves in Aggie traditions such as Bonfire, Midnight Yell, Silver Taps and football games.
Muster Centered on the second-floor mezzanine, the Muster exhibit showcases photographs of contemporary Muster gatherings, and seasonally displays the flag hoisted at the 1946 Corregidor Muster.
Memories Through this interactive exhibit, also on the second-floor mezzanine, Aggies can hear about Old Army from those who lived it and record their own recollections of their time at Texas A&M, or what the Aggie Spirit means to them.
Network Representing the worldwide reach of the Aggie Network, this exhibit showcases videos of Aggies making a difference around the globe.
